Homemade Hair Care by Pelo Hair Los Angeles

Homemade Hair Care- DIY

We here at Pelo Hair Los Angeles sell our own signature line of hair care products. Both are affordable and designed to maintain the human hair extensions we sell. You can learn more about these products by clicking here: http://www.pelo-hair.com/#!hair-care-products/cdef However, there are a few great recipes online if you are looking to save money, use natural ingredients, and/or impress your friends.

This is one of our staff's favorite homemade hair care products- Extension Hair Mousse!

Here's how to make it:

Start by grabbing a bowl and a whisk from the kitchen.

Next, you will need two eggs.

Crack the eggs and separate the yolks from the egg whites.

Whisk the egg whites in the bowl until they form stiff peaks.

Rub the egg whites into your hair, as much or as little as needed, and place the rest in the fridge. This will keep for 48 hours.

Allow your hair to dry and then style as normal. You don't want to heat dry your hair, allow it to do so naturally.

That's it. This trick is quick, safe, chemical-free and super cheap.

Zebra Hair

We have Zebra Hair extensions and Bangin' Bangs. These hair accessories are an important part of remaining trendy and fashionable during 2013.

Trends are not just for teenagers, either. Many celebrities and professional women are adding bang clip-in products are animal print streaks to their manes. These accessories are a great way to try different looks, are kick-up current ones, without having to make a life-long commitment.

Bands, such as our Bangin' Bang products, were recently a hit at the 2013 Oscars. Jennifer Hudson and other celebrities wore the hair accessories to embellish their already stunning looks!

We are taking your questions, via Twitter, about our Bangin' Bang products and Zebra Hair extensions. In the meantime, check out these top hair-care tips for real hair extensions!

Always brush gently with one of the following:
- Wide tooth comb (ends only)
- Loop Brush (med-thick hair)
- Boar bristle brush (med-fine hair)

When blow-drying hair, blow downward with hair, not up into / against hair flow. Dry with fingers then style with a curling iron or flat iron if needed. It is stressful to the hair to do a lot of brushing while blow-drying, causing extension loss.

Always wet hair with tap water, apply conditioner and braid hair before swimming to help avoid tangling. If possible, avoid salt-water pools, which are terrible for extensions.
