We are taking your questions, via Twitter, about our Bangin' Bang products and Zebra Hair extensions. In the meantime, check out these top hair-care tips for real hair extensions!

Always brush gently with one of the following:
- Wide tooth comb (ends only)
- Loop Brush (med-thick hair)
- Boar bristle brush (med-fine hair)

When blow-drying hair, blow downward with hair, not up into / against hair flow. Dry with fingers then style with a curling iron or flat iron if needed. It is stressful to the hair to do a lot of brushing while blow-drying, causing extension loss.

Always wet hair with tap water, apply conditioner and braid hair before swimming to help avoid tangling. If possible, avoid salt-water pools, which are terrible for extensions.

The Oscars 2013

The Oscars 2013 was horrible when it came to great hair. I understand it was windy, but c'mon- it is the OSCARS! The winner for best hair and most beautiful has to be Jessica Chastain. Her hair was flowing and wasn't bothered by the wind. Now, her length may have had some extra help with natural extensions, such as these (click here), but that doesn't mean it wasn't any less extraordinary!

Our Brazilian Hair product line is perfect for mirroring Jessica Chastain's look. Why? It long, always looks healthy and it is easy to take care of!

When people do buy Brazilian hair, the #1 question is how to wash it. Well, below are Pelo Hair Los Angeles' tips!

Make sure hair is completely combed through and detangled before washing.

Wash with cool to warm water. Excessing heat will lead harm the hair in the lon run.

Make sure hair is being washed in ONE direction (from scalp to ends) and avoid circular motions! This can lead to tangling.

Always use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

When conditioner is on the hair, leave it on for approximately five minute, then comb through the hair starting from the ends. Rinse thoroughly.

Squeeze out excess water and blow dry gently. Do not towel rub or twist the hair to dry.

Below are just a few photos of the great Oscar looks you can obtain through natural hair extensions!

2013 Oscar Hair Trend Predictions

Pelo Hair Los Angeles is known for providing the “gold standard” when it comes to human hair extensions. For the 2013 Oscars, the company’s owner Niki Motz is announcing her predictions for the hottest hair trends. Motz says she expects a showing of tasteful, vivid color extensions, clip-on bangs, and Brazilian hair extensions to make their way down the red carpet.

“This year Hollywood is going to get it right. The buzz I’m hearing is that long, flowing hair will be worn by many A-list starlets. I’ve also heard some of the younger Oscar presenters and nominees will mirror what Oscar de la Renta did this year and place a simple streak of loud color in their manes,” said Niki Motz of Pelo Hair Los Angeles. “These Oscar looks are easy to obtain. Many women can copy them before these looks hit the red carpet, turning themselves into a style-icon at their very own Oscar –watching party.”

Pelo Hair Los Angeles’ founder says Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams are expected to pull off long, flowing locks complimented by strapless full gowns. Actresses such as Naomi Watts or Helen Hunt can get away with “subtle pink streaks” in their pale blonde hair. “The Oscars are always so elegant. In years past, the updo was a MUST when it came to the award ceremony. I think this year’s red carpet will look drastically different. With the availability of Brazilian hair extensions, women can now add length and volume without anyone noticing that there is a little hair-help involved,” continued Motz. “And, bangs are going to be a big hit!” Niki Motz will be Tweeting her live reactions to the Oscar’s red carpet hair failures on February 24th. https://twitter.com/PeloHair
