New website coming this week

Our new website is almost here and we can’t wait. I wanted to improve our shopping experience and make the website more socially acceptable. That’s why I decided to keep our logo and branding but incorporate a new look.

Now, when you buy hair extensions from Pelo Hair Los Angeles, you can order the color, the length and the quantity in a single click, not multiple clicks like before. You can also share your purchase on Pinterest or Twitter!

We are still offering the same great, ethically-sourced hair extension products. You can always call us and talk to one of our team members before ordering the hair extensions to make sure you are purchasing the best products for your specific look. This doesn’t change.

Additionally, I decided to offer monthly specials, which means you can check back with the new website each and every month to see what is on sale and what is new.

Products We Recommend!

We received a question asking what are our top three selling products. Well, we don’t ever believe you should select a product simply because it sells well. You should pick a product that matches our hair’s texture, color and ethnicity when possible. However, to honor this question, we are listing our top three selling products below.

1. Curly Indian Hair: Curly Indian Hair comes from the temples in India. The hair we source is of the highest quality and is in its virgin state. Curly Indian Hair has a texture from silky wave to tight curls. The natural color varies from light brown to black. The signature of Indian hair is its natural flowing appearance and the ends that tend to be wispy and uneven. Indian hair can be worn naturally or flat ironed. This hair is offered in: Machine Weft, I-tips, Skin Weft, and closures.

2. Brazilian Hair: Brazilian hair varies from silky and straight to wavy and more texturized. The natural color of the Brazilian hair ranges from a light brown color to an off black. The hair is thicker on the ends and has a beautiful natural shine. This hair can be curled or flat ironed. Brazilian hair is offered in: Machine Weft, I-tips, Skin Weft, and closures.

3. EuroAsian Hair: EuroAsian hair is thicker than Indian hair. It is an exotic blend of Asian hair and European hair and has a super-luxurious feel. This product is a straight hair with a very slight bend at the ends. The hair has a texture that is silky, but not too glossy. EuroAsian hair is currently only sold by the bundles. This is our only bundle product with aprox. 6 total ounces of hair.

You can always submit your photo to us and the photo of what hairstyle you are trying to accomplish. We will personally email or call you with product recommendation specific to your needs.

Summer 2014 Hair Preview

We here at Pelo Hair Los Angeles are always delivering the news on up and coming hair trends. Well, we just got major scoop on the hair trends for summer 2014. Want to know what they are? Keep reading.

1. Disheveled updos. Yep, many scheduled fashion shows are already booking models to have undone updos for their summer lines. This means wearing a bun that looks like you slept in it on purpose!

2. Mixed texture hair. This trends means gelling down the top / crown of your hair and then leaving your ends brushed through, light and with no product.

3. Old world braids. Goodbye French braids and tight braids. Loose, old world braids are going to be the new thing.

Our quality and real-hair extensions are always ethically sourced. Plus, we have a new, easier shopping cart to help your online buying experience go smoothly.

Hair Extentions 101 ; Ordering Online

Since the 2014 Academy Awards are almost here. There are two sub – categories of hair extensions; synthetic and human hair. Synthetic here does not look real and is never used by celebrities. It also does not last long. Unlike synthetic hair, human hair is often used by celebrities, flash a long time, and looks completely natural. Some people have questions about the ethics surrounding sourcing human hair extensions. We here at Pelo Hair Los Angeles only used ethically – sourced hair.

There are different kinds of extensions, different types of hair, different formats as to how the hair extensions are added to your own hair. Weaves, heat fusing, clamping with metal rods, and I – tips are some of the most popular methods.

You have to find the right texture and color in a hair extension product order for your hair to look its best to be able to seal the fact that you are wearing hair extensions. Luckily, our website offers and upload photo option that allows customers to upload not only a photo of themselves, but a photo of a celebrity or other picture with the look they are trying to achieve. Once you do this, our team of qualified beauty consultants – not salespeople – will call or email you back with different product suggestions and pricing. Ordering hair on our website is not a complicated process.

You can also submit your hair extension questions below and I will personally respond to each and every one of them.

Dramatic Wedding Hair.

Have a wedding coming up? Not sure what style to wear when it comes to your hair? Why not try something dramatic? Our ethically sourced hair extensions can make dramatic changes to your look without requiring a permanent commitment. Here are our tips for adding a little bit of drama to your special day!

#1. Crazy long hair. Want to make a princess statement? Why not try taking your lovely locks past your butt? Nothing says girly-girl like long hair. Regardless if you have short, medium or long hair- adding obscene length will add drama to your look and it looks stunning in photos, especially black and white if your hair is blonde.

#2. Bangs. Our Bangin' Bang products are perfect for giving yourself a daring, dramatic look on your wedding day. They sell for under a hundred dollars and can be customized to fit your face and create thick, wispy or curled bangs.

#3. Contrast color. If you really want to stand out on your wedding day, pick a color that is the complete opposite of your hair tone and add it as a heavy frost process. You can use platinum blonde on black hair or bright pink on blonde hair. Whatever color you may chose, adding a lot of bold chunks will create the contrast needed to develop a dramatic look.

Need help? Not sure what product or hair type to select? We are here to help. Just give us a call or send us an email. If you can Tweet a photo of yourself, we can better help you make a wedding day hair decision.
