Purchasing Hair Chalk, Why & How.

We here at Pelo Hair Los Anegeles sell the world's best human hair extension, which are always ethically sourced. We also sell trending products, such as hair chalk, to keep up with client demand. So, what is hair chalk and how does it work?

Hair chalk adds temporary vivid color to your existing hair. It can be worn on any type and/or color of hair. You can add a couple daring streaks of pink, blue, green or purple. Celebrity Lauren Conrad posted a photo on her blog with tie-dyed (multi-colored) hair as a result of hair chalk the product has been all the rage. Every beauty magazine is writing about the product, including a nice piece on Yahoo. Read it here: http://news.yahoo.com/chalk-coloring-hair-pastels-trend-140938270.html

Hair chalk works because the temporary product is composed of highly concentrated color. You can buy the product from us. Make sure to have a spray bottle filled with clean water on hand. You will also need a flat iron or a curling iron. Make sure to have rubber gloves on before touching the product as it can stain skin. The same goes for fabric so apply the product when wearing an old shirt.

The steps:

A. Spray a 1-inch section of hair with water. You don't need to soak the entire strand, just go as high up as you want the color to be.

B. Color on your hair with one of the hair chalk pastels.

C. Wait for your hair to air dry. Depending on your hair, this could take up to a half of an hour.

D. Using the curling or flat iron, go over each colored strand. This sets the colors in your hair, so it will last longer. Then brush and style however you normally would!

Hair chalk can stay in your hair for up to a week. Really, the amount of time depends on how processed (or not processed) your hair is. Bleached out hair tends not to hold the color very long where virgin hair seems to grab the chalk colors longer.
